My name is Lotta Aunio, and I am a senior lecturer at the University of Helsinki. I specialize in African languages, specifically in Bantu languages, for example, Swahili. I teach practical Swahili and various courses related to language, language acquisition, and linguistics. Despite my background in descriptive linguistics, I have a strong interest in the applied side of linguistics, particularly language learning, and I have been teaching language learning since the 1990s.
